Ghostface will be back! The announcement was released earlier this week by Paramount and Spyglass - filming will commence in the summer of 2022.
After the staggering success of the latest installment in the Scream franchise - a little over $100M globally to be exact - fans began speculating about the return of Ghostface. It took Paramount less than a month after the films official release to announce their plans for the sequel.
'We are tremendously grateful to the fans around the world who enthusiastically received our film. We can’t wait for audiences to see what Radio Silence, writers Jamie & Guy and Project X have in store for our Woodsboro family,' the statement said.
'We're so excited to bring the next chapter in the Scream saga to life,'
they later added.
Once again we'll have James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick behind the script and the directing duo of Project X - Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, plotting the next massacre in the town of Woodsboro.
The casting choices for Scream 6 have ,unfortunately, not yet been announced.
